Born in Italy of an Italian mother and an American father, Jane V. Hardy has been bi-lingual and bi-cultural ever since she can remember. Her undergraduate degrees in French and Italian literature were completed at Tulane University, Sorbonne Paris IV, Université Catholique and Princeton University.
Upon deciding to pursue a career as a documentary filmmaker, Jane moved to New York and earned her Masters degree at NYU in Documentary Filmmaking and Network News. With her independent documentary film ‘Of Milk and Money’ she won the ‘Sid Gross Award for Investigative Journalism’. Since then, she has worked for VICE.TV on documentaries such as ‘Toxic Naples, and ‘The Neomelodics’, and the AP in New York.
In 2011, Jane won the U.S.-Austrian Journalism Exchange Fellowship, where she had the opportunity to work as a journalist in Vienna. For the past 4 years, Jane has been based in Vienna where she works as a journalist, videographer and editor for Puls 4.
